Dr. Elizabeth and Dr. Rick
I have been going to the Chiropractic Café for about 1 year and I have to thank Drs. Rick and Elizabeth. I started going because I was having recurrent back pain at the level of my right shoulder and lower back pain as well. I have never suffered from bone or muscle pain for long periods of time. I was concerned about my health and since I'm pretty young I didn't want to be surrendered to have back pain for the rest of my life. I heard about chiropractic and I thought it would be worthy to try it out.
Drs. Florez and Pagano immediately came out with an adjustment plan and the improvements in my back began to occur rapidly. I was so pleased at feeling well again!! I have continued to go to the Chiropractic Café even though the acute pain has now disappeared because I personally believe in prevention as the chiropractors confirmed. As a matter of fact, I recently had a car accident and I was again in pain. Immediately after 2-3 adjustments, I improved quickly as my body was already in the healing process.
I highly recommend you to try Drs. Rick and Elizabeth at the Chiropractic Café.

I began seeing Dr. Rick in June 2009. I experienced frequent headaches, nagging shoulder pain from a sports injury and numbness in my hands caused by several hours a day working on a computer.
After a few initial adjustments, I was able to play Volleyball pain free for the first time in 3 years, had a significant decrease in the frequency and severity of headaches, and the numbness in my hands began to fade. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results.
I am now on a regular schedule of weekly adjustments and massage therapy and am still seeing significant improvements. I have more energy, can work and play harder, sleep better and am able to enjoy life to its fullest.

A few year ago, after having spent nearly four years either pregnant or nursing, chiropractic care helped with my low back pain. I quit going after my symptoms disappeared, even though my then-chiropractor (in another town) warned me that my symptoms would likely return if I didn't maintain my treatments.
All was great for about a year or so, but then I was once again dealing with near constant low back pain and soreness. On top of that, my low back was very easily injured by moving wrong or picking something up wrong (like a squirming 3 year old!). By this time I lived in Raleigh, and Dr. Elizabeth at the Chiropractic Café was recommended to me by my yoga teacher at Moving Mantra Yoga Studio.
I came with high hopes, and sure enough, Dr. Elizabeth has worked wonders. My near constant pain and soreness is gone, and my back feels straighter and stronger and doesn't get injured as easily. Dr. Elizabeth's treatments go beyond the basic adjustments, and include cervical realignment and ultrasound treatments to help ease muscles into their proper alignment. She was also able to make suggestions about how I sleep and sit at my desk, and gave me a series of exercises I can do at home to strengthen my back and hold those vertebrae where we want them.
I'm still on my path with the Chiropractic Café. I now understand (from direct personal experience!) that maintenance is the key, and I view my chiropractic treatments just like preventative health care. Now that my pain is gone, I visit less often, but I still visit regularly.

I decided to meet with Dr. Rick and Dr. Elizabeth about 18 months ago. At that point, I had suffered from back pain for about 20 years. I have tried various chiropractors throughout the years, but had not been satisfied with their services or results. Invariably, each one would declare me "healed" after several months only to have the pain come back again within 6 months. I could tell Dr. Rick was different from the previous doctors I had visited, mainly because he explained treatment in terms of an ongoing process. The body changes and we have to make changes to adapt, he said. I liked this approach and decided to give him a try. The first month was 3 visits a week, the second month was twice a week, and the past 16 months have been once a week. At first, it seemed I was getting worse, not better. Rick explained that while we were making changes, the symptoms may get worse before they get better. He was right. There were days I had to go back to bed for a while due to the pain, but I stuck with him and the program. He was right-it worked. I can honestly say it has been one of the best things I have ever invested in and would highly recommend Dr. Rick to anyone seeking chiropractic care.

Before I started receiving chiropractic care from Dr. Rick and Dr. Liz at the Chiropractic Café, I was suffering from severe lower back pain I had been experiencing since my teenage years. Also, I was dealing with radiating pain around and underneath my left shoulder blade, down my arm and down my rib cage from a car wreck that I had been in three years prior. I am a graphic designer and must sit for several hours a day. By the end of the day, every day, I would be exhausted from dealing with neverending pain and discomfort. After receiving care from Dr. Rick and Dr. Liz for about three months straight, I was able to sit long periods of time without discomfort and my shoulder rarely had pain radiating around and down my arm anymore. Within six months of care I was able to successfully complete in two submission grappling tournaments and win.
Today, a year later, I experience very little pain from my injuries unless they are aggravated by some activities I do. Now I just go in for maintenance adjustments that keep me almost pain-free. Without the wonderful care I received from the staff at the Chiropractic Café, I would not be doing as well as I am today.

The Chiropractic Café is a very Warm and Friendly environment. As a physician myself, I think Drs. Rick and Elizabeth do a great job explaining their treatments and have extremely good bedside manners. They do a great job creating the doctor/patient relationship which is one of most important parts of any healing modality. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family!

In February of 2009, I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in my neck that was pinching off the nerves in my entire right arm. It was extremely painful and scary. After a visit to a surgeon, they suggested a high invasive and expensive surgery. Instead I chose to receive 3 treatments a week. They took excellent care of me and in a few short months, I was not only back but I was feeling better than ever. I highly recommend their services because of their professionalism, wonderful demeanor, and top-notch treatments.

Dr. Rick and Dr. Elizabeth are miracle workers! My back feels so much better since I started visiting them. Dr. Rick has done a wonderful job explaining the process and making sure I was comfortable and had a full understanding of what would take place. When we started the process I had stopped going to the gym and now I am going 3 to 4 times a week, with no pain. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

Dr. Rick and Dr. Elizabeth have greatly improved my well-being. For years, I had been suffering from chronic neck pain, which at times was debilitating, and I was desperate to find a way to treat my affliction. I was referred to the Chiropractic Café by my personal trainer who is also a patient of this practice. Although I was initially skeptical of chiropractic treatments, I decided to give it a shot. Dr. Rick took the time to patiently answer all my questions- and yes, there were many. He made me feel at ease, and provided me with a better understanding of chiropractic care and how it would help me. After a few adjustments, my neck pain had decreased considerably. I have continued to receive regular adjustments for over a year- my neck pain has completely disappeared and has not returned! Dr. Rick and Dr. Elizabeth are warm hearted and compassionate doctors and it is reassuring to know they truly care about their patients.

Both my husband and I have had wonderful experiences at the Chiropractic Café. From a wonderfully comfortable environment, to the personal greeting at the door, we just can't say enough about the quality care we have received from their office. Both Army veterans with neck and back injuries, Dr. Rick and Dr. Liz have worked with us to alleviate the pain and discomfort we accepted as part of the job. We look forward to our regular visits and can really tell the difference when we can't get in to see them due to our own busy schedules. Drs. Rick and Liz provided us with an overall wellness that enables us to continue in our very active lives. We are glad to of found them.
