Phase 1: Relief Care

Thumbs Up to Relief

Many people go to a chiropractor because they are in pain. In this first phase of care, the main goal is to improve the function of your body as quickly as possible, which is necessary for symptoms to dissipate. Frequency of care will depend on several factors including: health history, age, how long the problem has been present, intensity of symptoms, and health routine.  In some cases this will require daily visits, and in others two to three visits per week in the early stages of care.

Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.  Did you know that pain only accounts for 10% of all of the nerves in your body?

For example, consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious? How about heart disease? Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress, or problems with the spine, pain is one of the last things to appear. As a result, when you begin chiropractic care, pain is also one of the first symptoms to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains.

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "The Chiropractic Café is a very Warm and Friendly environment. As a physician myself, I think Drs. Rick and Elizabeth do a great job explaining their treatments and have extremely good bedside manners. They do a great job creating the doctor/patient relationship which is one of most important parts of any healing modality. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family!"
